Healthy Apple and Almond Snack

Watch here how to make it 🙂
It literally comes together in 5 min, and is not more than spreading your favourite nut butter over an apple slice and fill it with granola, nuts, dried fruits or anything you prefer.

If you are a fan of fruit based treats or desserts, this healthy apple and almond snack will make the job! This is a super easy and fast snack that you can take on the go or use it as late afternoon/morning snack when you are craving something sweet and filling and will keep you away from junk food.

Apples are very nutritious (1) a great source of vitamins, fiber and antioxidants.

Let’s go!

Gluten-free, refined sugar-free, Vegan
Yield: 3 sandwiches
Time: 5 min

Ingredients
Apple
Almond butter (or any other nut butter)
My favorite homemade granola
Dark chocolate (optional)

Directions
1. Core an apple and cut it into slices
2. Spread nut butter on the slices and top it with the granola.
3. Close it with another slice of apple to make a sandwich or leave it as a doughnut as I did in the video.
4. If you want, melt a little bit of dark chocolate and drizzle it on the apple sandwich.

You can omit the final chocolate drizzle but it does really give a yummy touch…

By the way…
You can also use any other butter, I make it sometimes with peanut butter, speaking of which I found a very interesting article last week about almond vs peanut butter, regarding their health benefits… Anyways I love alternating both to get the best of each world.
