Healthier Dalgona Coffee

Dalgona Coffee
Coconut sugar gives this coffee a caramel softer flavor, and topped with some raw cocoa is simply irresistible.
Dalgona coffee
Is funny how easy is to do and how good it looks.

This healthier Dalgona coffee version has been my addiction lately… I have tried it with Bayley’s, which I really recommend for special occasions, for example if you have guests you can serve this coffee with a slice of my french apple cake which every time I serve, becomes a hit.

Although the traditional Dalgona Coffee is made with granulated sugar I tried swapping it for coconut sugar since is relatively healthier and it actually worked so good giving a caramel and softer taste.

Coconut sugar is still sugar so is something to try to avoid and just take it sparingly, however it has some benefits (1) compared to refined sugar; it has a lower glycemic index, less fructose, it is not refined and it has some nutrients like calcium and potassium.

  • By the way … You could also sprinkle cinnamon instead, or add a bit of Bayley’s or Amaretto to the glass of milk before adding the foam.
