Fresh Berry Smoothie

berry smoothie

This fresh berry smoothie is perfect for hot days. It is loaded with vitamins, antioxidants, fiber, and nutrients(1). Ginger is the key ingredient to this smoothie as it adds a touch of freshness and intense flavor that contrasts with the mild sweetness of the berries.

If you want you can also make a smoothie bowl, like my raspberry smoothie bowl, which is perfect for more filling breakfasts as you can top them with about anything you want.

I actually make more smoothies during the week as I can just take them with me, but on the weekends I really like to make smoothie bowls and top them with my homemade granola, with more fresh fruit, with almonds, banana coins or anything I have handy on my pantry. You can make it as dense or thin as you want by playing around with the amount of milk you add, so try different versions and stick to your favorite one, the final result will depend a bit on the blender you use, but should work just fine.
