This Blueberry Banana PB Smoothie is like a ritual for me, I do not overreact if I say I drink it at least 4 times a week… It is loaded with vitamins, minerals, omega 3, antioxidants, protein from the peanut butter… And it is simply delicious.
I always have all sort of berries at home, because of how nutritious they are. Blueberries particularly are considered the King of the Antioxidants Food (1) Blueberries have the highest antioxidant capacity of all the popular fruits and vegetables. Flavonoids appear to be the berries’ antioxidant with the greatest impact, so… another reason to love this smoothie.
If you are looking for other ways of incorporating blueberries on your diet, you can try my blueberry skillet with ice cream or my blueberry lemon chia pudding.
I have posted many recipes that contain all sort of berries on my Instagram and on the website because I think they are a great snack and breakfast option, they are sweet, filling, full of fiber and vitamins and they do energize you in a way that coffee would never be able to do. If you prefer a more filling breakfast you can also go for smoothie bowls, like my raspberry smoothie bowl, I love this one when I am hungry and I don’t feel like cooking anything at all. All I do then is top the smoothie bowl with anything I have handy; granola, more fruits, almonds, coconut flakes…
