This 5 min-stewed berries are incredibly versatile! You can use it to top fluffy pancakes, for yogurt parfaits, toasts, etc. I always have frozen berries in my freezer and I make this sauce probably twice a week. It takes 5 min and is a super healthy alternative to syrups or store-bought sugary sauces.
Berries are among the healthiest foods on earth (1), they are loaded with antioxidants, are high in fiber, vitamins, help fight inflammation, they are really low in calories and perfect for glowy skin, so if you get used to substituting your traditional caramel, chocolate and other unhealthy sauces you are going to see the benefits very soon.

Yield: 1 cup
Time: 5 min
Ingredients
1 cup frozen red fruits
Directions
1. Place the frozen fruits in a small saucepan over medium heat and stir gently constantly
2. Let the berries release their juices by crushing them lightly with a wooden spoon against the sides and the bottom of the saucepan for about 5 min and remove from heat.
3. Serve immediately if you want it warm
By the way…
This sauce is used for all kinds of sweet recipes, you can add it to your crepes, yogurts, porridge (porridge), toasts, etc.
You could use fresh fruits too but in that case, put half of the fruit in the pan for about 8 minutes and add the rest the last few minutes to give it more texture.
You can store it in the fridge in an airtight container and if you want it warm reheat it in the saucepan adding a teaspoon of water (or in the microwave).
